ReviewI have been driving this car as I normally would for a little over 6 months now.
I have used 22 gallons to cover 6500 miles, which included routes that are 50 miles each way.
Sometimes I am too busy with my life and not plugging it in as I should.
So there is a reason for me to believe I could have used less fuel.
This car driving dynamic is surprisingly good compared to the BMW I traded in.
This car feels notability more powerful than Leaf and Prius, also feels as having more torque than Sonata hybrid. The interior is not what you would call luxury in a traditional sense; however, there are lots of little interactions with the systems that will make you pleasantly surprised. And those

Seating position is great for me and better than Prius V IMHO. Finally, for the question of will I worry about the supposedly battery safety. The NHTSA lesson leads me to a reasonable conclusion. Please don't park your totaled Volt in your garage for three weeks without first de-powering the on-board battery by using a machine that essentially worked like giant light bulb. And also try not to take your Volt battery pack out of the car and hit a light pole with it to a degree that the casing is depressed in for 2 inches, then flip it upside down. If you
Worst Featuresmanaged to avoid that then your battery might not smother and cause a fire afterward. So, I am not worried. For one, I am not strong enough to move the 400 Lbs battery out of the protective structure of the car. Secondly, if the center console where the battery is located is depressed for 2 inches, I doubt the occupant is survivable by the impact. So there are more pressing things to worry about than staying in the wreck for weeks waiting the fire to break out.

I couldn't find a way to ask a general question, so I picked this comment. I wonder how many reviewers of the Volt have had considerable experience with other makes of hybrids? Would their reviews be significantly different from the others? I am interested in the technology, but the purchase price is troubling to me.Report it
