1997 Chevrolet Venture Minivan LS 3dr Ext Minivan

Review

Do not get this car! At 95,000 miles it
needed a new engine. About 10,000 miles
later, it needed a $300-$400 repair
every month or so. I have now decided
to just buy another car. Take my
advice, DO NOT GET THIS CAR!

Best Features

Front seats are comfortable, cargo space

Worst Features

Reliability, rear seat comfort, easier seat removal

Review

I bought this mini van in the year
2000. Have had no mechanical problems.
Had to replace front brakes once,
other then that has been a terrific
van.
Doesn't feel like your driving a van.
No plastic this or that like you can
find in other vans like the aerostar.

Best Features

Is comfortable, roomy and cosmetically sound. v-6 engine has great exclleration.

Review

Much quieter ride than my Chrysler Mini-
Van.

I drove it from coast to coast and
experienced no problems great fuel
economy.

Definitely like the load leveling
suspension when loaded down.

Best Features

The power door opener is a must.

Worst Features

The rear seats seem a little low for people above 6' tall. The rear trim and panels were too flimsy for my kids. They broke them. Good thing theres about 50 cup holders

Review

bought new. had to dealer 3 times for
muddy antifreeze. Now the manifold
gasket is leaking, and waterpump. all
problems noted on other reviews. I
love driving it, but can't stand the
maintenance problems. 6 years old,
only 53,000 mi. Why can't chevy build
a vehicle to last. I'm looking into
Toyota next time.

Best Features

built in child car seat.

Worst Features

fix the dex cool problems and manifold gasket problems.

Review

After owning the car for five months
and it being at 70000 miles the engine
blew a head gasket. I was told it was
caused by the dexcool system not being
properly taking care of before I
bought.

Best Features

beautiful exterior,and nice riding car

Worst Features

dexcool nedds to be replaced
