Thoroughly impressed
I’m honestly quite surprised at how much I enjoy this vehicle. We needed a in-between car, something easy to drive, all wheel drive, and relatively good on fuel. I did not try any of the Hyundai or Kia alternatives as I’ve had terrible experiences with their products already, but I did try the Toyota CHR and Honda HRV. I liked both but settled with the Chevy as I much preferred it’s exterior styling over the others. My first Chevy and after 9 months still very happy. The little 3cyl is plenty powerful (seriously, it’s very adequate) and so far I’m enjoying around 33 mpg average. No mechanical or quality issues.

2022 Trailblazer LT
I just got it over the weekend and love it so much. Traded in 2019 Kia Sportage. I have the 1.3 engine with FWD. I took my trailblazer on road trip approx 480 miles and avg 30.4 mpg doing 80 on the interstate. Never felt like it was under power going thru the mountains.

As Expected 😊
My Trailblazer RS is pretty much as expected, which is a good thing. I purchased the vehicle with several packages, including sunroof, auto lift gate, technology, convenience. As such, the appearance and driving experience is a pleasure! Not going to beat many in a race :), but has no problems with either city driving nor highway driving. Roomy interior, perception of openness enhanced by panoramic sunroof, just a cool looking vehicle with lots of options for a reasonable price.

better not great
had this car for over 1 year now . the gas mileage stinks ! gm says 28 to 29 city i get 19 city ! gm says 34 or so hiway on a trip from east jersey to pittsburg , cruise control on set at 68 mph i got 28 mpg hiway . i had a computer glitch , i lost my brakes and steering plus check engine light all came on at same time ! you wanna talk scary ? i also used a quart of oil in the first 4000 miles ? had it back to dealers and made mention of all these issues . they did fix the computer glitch . as for the oil they say i dont know how to check it ? i had my own gas station for 20 years and drove tractor trailors the next 30 i think i know how to check oil ! cold first thing in the morning . as for the lousy gas mileage i was told its not broke in yet ? over 5300 miles and first oil change done yet it isnt broke in yet ? im not happy with the preformance to say the least when a lousy little 3 cyclinder cant top 20 mpg of fuel at 25 to 40 miles per hour never mind the 28 plus gm claims how can i be happy ? UPDATE: when i first got the car i burned a quart of oil in the first 3000 miles . i only have 6500 miles on it and have burned another half quart of oil since then . so thats got better but why should a new car be using any oil ? i had it back to dealers 3 times within those 6500 miles . always computer trouble , softwarer issues . i lost my brakes and steering one time talk about scary ? for the first 4500 miles the best i ever got was 19 mpg a far cry from chevy mileage claims i took it back and raised hell about that and once again they made some type of computer changes . since then my mileage has nearly doubled . its been a roller coaster ride so far with major gas and oil mileage swings and computer errors with brakes and steering . the last 2000 miles have been better but i have lost my confidence in the vehicle i just keep waiting for yet another computer issue to pop up . im retired and do mostly local driving at city speeds so the car has truly been babied for % 90 of its 6500 miles so i see no excuses why i should be having any problems at all ! finally after passing 8000 miles the oil consumption has improved . had to add nearly 2 quarts during that time . the gas mileage still not close to claims . im abt 3 mpg short on hi-way claims but but abt 7 short in city . had it out in first snow with awd on . wasnt bad , wasnt great the stock tires no where near aggressive enough for any type of serious 4 wheeling and i lost near 3 mpg in awd mode . its mine i dont hate it dont love it simply ok for this retired guy . if only that gas mileage would come around ..........

Surprisingly Competent
I bought the Trailblazer RS to replace my 2018 Cruze LT. When I test drove it, I had on idea it was a 3 cylinder! The 1.3 Turbo isn't going to set ant acceleration records, but it is competent around town or merging on to Florida's 70 MPH highways. Surprisingly roomy inside, both in the front and back. Adequate cargo space for an extra small SUV. I got the FWD version with the CVT transmission - takes a little getting used to without and hard shifts between gears like a conventional trans. Cruise control acted up twice, but other than that the first 6K miles have been pleasant.

Great Styling, Poor Build Quality and Materials
I took a chance on leasing a Trailblazer RS after being unable to get a Toyota due to lack of inventory. At first this small SUV caught my attention due to its contemporary design and relative affordability. This is a top trim level RS unit. After driving this thing for the past 3 months however I'm extremely disappointed. While the economy is decent, the engineering and build quality are abysmal. Surface scratches & paint swirls from the beginning. Rubber & plastic trim pieces literally falling off vehicle. Wireless charging pad never worked from day one. Cruise control stopped working after the first month. Cheap plastic interior surfaces scratch and dull from even minimal normal usage. Rough idle at start up many days. Transmission often jerks forward when placed into drive. Keep in mind, this is a 2022 vehicle with only 2600 miles on it. When I've taken my Trailblazer into the local Chevrolet dealership, they've been unresponsive to my concerns. Basically I've been told, you get what you pay for and I shouldn't expect great quality on an entry level SUV. I can't even imagine what I'm going to have to deal with being locked into a lease with this rapidly deteriorating vehicle for the next 3 years. I've lost what little confidence or trust I had left for American vehicles after owning this Trailblazer. If given the chance I'd walk away from my lease, put myself on a waiting list for a Toyota and ride the bus until it were available. Never again Chevrolet. If you are even remotely considering a Trailblazer, run away fast!

Lemon
I wouldn’t recommend. I purchased a new 2022 trailblazer in July of 2021. My engine light came on. I have only 2496 miles on my vehicle. The dealership said they have to replace the transmission.
Best vehicle I’ve had
The trailblazer is very quick for a 3 cylinder. I’ve had mine for 4 months now and have put over 18k miles on it already. I got the fully loaded awd rs model. It’s very comfortable and roomy. The only complaint I have is the climate control system is overthought and near the seatbelt holder it makes noises sometimes and ir can be annoying because it’s near your ear.

Zoom Zoom Around Town
So I purchased this SUV on June 13th 2022 (all black) so I've had it a little over three months and I must say that I do absolutely love it. We shall see if this vehicle will stand the test of time as I was a little leery of purchasing another Chevy after my 2016 Equinox all of the sudden had timing belt and transmission issues. When at the dealership I was asked if I wanted another Equinox I said I wanted something different and since I was getting a brand new car I wanted to get my monies worth. Well so far the Trailblazer has been money well spent. I drive a lot (5,877mi already) and where I live there are a lot of back roads as well we use the highways to get around and I have not been disappointed with the handling. I am able to merge without having any issues and I know when I see test drives and read reviews everyone says that because of the 3cyl engine it merges slow and may not do well with long distance driving. To that I say so far so good I have spent a lot of time in my Trailblazer traveling back to my home state to visit my family and I have had no issues passing or keeping up with traffic. The seating has been very comfortable for long-distance driving but I will agree that the braking is so sensitive that you really have to be mindful that it will take some getting use too. One thing that surprised me is it seems to get better gas mileage in AWD. So my experience with my Trailblazer has been good so far as well as the roomy cabin for when I have passengers; people have remarked how spacious it is sitting in the back. Oh I forgot to mention one other thing I don't like is the cargo shade well if you can call it that. It is just a single piece that slides in meaning that it is not retractable; it is just a thin cloth like cover that is just there. I mean it dose the job of concealment but in a very generic toy-like way.

Great CUV
Overall, I love My 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer. I work for a Buick GMC dealership and preferred the Trailblazer at our other dealerships rather than the Encore GX. I have the AWD LT trim which is the best value for price as the Activ and RS trims are more appearance. Overall, I've own the vehicle for its first three thousand miles and have enjoyed it. Has fake engine noise that doesn't sound too bad compared to other rivals in this segment. Have yet to see the 1.2 engine as we don't order it. Interior is decent and the size isn't half bad.

Great car, with all the options you could ask for
I just wish it had a moon roof. But honestly it gets going pretty easily. Only complaint I have i I wish that the Back Seat area had a little more room.
Nice little sporty ride!
Although this is such a sporty, small vehicle, the seats are very uncomfortable for anybody with back problems. I wouldn't recommend it if you are used to riding with no lumbar support. The dealership probably won't let you swap it for another veh. At least the one I used won't. So I'm stick with a veh that I cannot drive without pain.

My first NEW car!
This is the first car I bought by myself as a 22 year old. I love it. The ride is smooth, it's spacious, it's good on gas, especially when traveling in long distances, and the technology portion of the car is great. I love the exterior look of the car, it's aggressive but trendy. As a 5'4 female, I was hesitant about an SUV, but the second I sat in the driver's seat, I knew this was the car I wanted. I went from a 2011 car to a 2022 SUV and I will forever love the smaller SUV because of this car. The guys at Turner Chevrolet in Harrisburg made this possible and they will forever have my business.

Pleasantly surprised
I was looking for a car for my 16 year old daughter. I read reviews saying the Trailblazer had a rough ride and not enough power. After reluctantly taking one for a test drive, I disagreed with the above opinions. We drove it 90 miles home on the interstate and the ride was smooth. Gas mileage was 32 mpg driving 70mph on the interstate. So far very happy with the price and performance
Nice car
I'm been driving it , when It was snowing and my Chevy trailblazer handle the snow pretty good.
Overpriced but had to buy a car
Decent. Just sad that it’s made in Korea

Transmission Failure
Let me start off with saying I loved this vehicle all the way up until I was left broke down and stuck. I was getting off the interstate and I had absolutely no power to go anywhere and my foot was on the gas peddle all the way to the floor. I got it to a safe area after I crept it up into a parking lot. I immediately checked the oil and when I did, the stick was bone dry (I was on a flat surface). I called Chevy for a tow to the dealership, which they put some oil into it and fired it up and put it on diagnostic. There was a check engine light on and it came back with an issue with the CVT transmission and they couldn’t understand why there was no oil because at that point it was overfilled. Multiple people had checked the dipstick before we took it to the dealer, so I’m not crazy like they made me out to seem. At this point, I’m now left without a vehicle and Chevy isn’t assisting with a rental of loaner. I was also told they need to have a specialized tech work on it as well since the transmission now has to be torn down and worked on. This is all beyond my control and at 35k miles, this shouldn’t have happened. Very disappointing

Should last longer
I've had my trailblazer just under 2 years, bought it new. I drive highway to work so have 42,000 miles. Christmas eve had to have it towed as it would not start. The sensor for it to be in park is bad... I'm over 36000 miles so they are charging over 500.00 to repair. Have to get it fixed as it won't start without it. Dashboard also vibrates some. Again I'm over 36000 miles. I didn't get a quote as I'm not paying for that. Ready to trade for something that last longer then 2 years... won't be a chevy

Really nice looking sport model
The 3 cyl was amazingly peppy . The inside seemed to get tighter & tighter as we drove & the back seat is quite small (no leg room)

12,000 miles of pleasure in first 8 months
The Edmonds review states that the Trailblazer “…does not excel at anything but is competent at everything.” Spot on! In the first 8 months of ownership, we have driven two 1500 mile trips to visit our daughter, experienced heavy snow (love having AWD), hot weather, high winds, mountain drives, heavy rain, stop and go traffic, you name it. Our guy just looks back at us and says, a bit sassy, bring it on! We are so impressed with this vehicle. The three banger is plenty powerful for all situations, has a very nice sound with the 9 gear transmission and feels quite peppy. There is a switch to go from 2WD to AWD, nice for saving fuel. Our current MPG for the 12,000 is 29.8! Our highest 50 mile reading, in the mountains (the info system keeps track of the most recent 50miles MPG) is 43.3 MPG, can you believe that? It’s very comfortable, reasonably quiet, voluminous interior for its size, excellent steering and breaking, generally intuitive functions. The information system can be occasionally finicky, especially connecting to my phone Appleplay but works well once set. It just feels like the engineers gave every detail of the design top priority. This Trailblazer LT is truly competent!

Chevy TB ❣️
Went looking for the Nissan Kicks - a RED one - couldn't be found in all of Houston??? So disappointed when all I could find were black, white or steel gray metallic! Not my cup of tea. Drove up the street to the Chevrolet place. Still heartbroken but test drive the Chevy TRAX. The SUV Trail Blazer was a smoother ride, easier to on the gas, had a better gas mileage and the price was in my budget!
Loving it

Love this car
Bought a 2022 in December 2021 and love it. It's a great size, gas mileage can't be beat. Have driven it for several long hauls (family lives 1,500 miles away) and it's been comfortable and reliable. Also love the size for parking in small lots and driving down tight alleyways. Any complaints are so small they're easy to forgive. Pros: size, gas mileage, pick up speed, looks, and versatility for interior and exterior storage Cons: Chevy car play gets glitchy sometimes and the look of the system is off (the placement of the clock is not always the same depending on the screen which can be dangerous when driving and taking my eyes off the road for too long), the backseat can't be moved forward so if you want to carry a lot of groceries home you have to fold down the seats instead of just pulling them forward a bit.

Blazing Trails...well...not really
I bought my 2022 TB mainly because I needed something a little more sedate than my 2014 VW CC rocket. I knew it was a matter of time before the speeding tickets would start... and times being what they are I needed better mileage and 87 gas. What caught my eye was the color, Red Mahogany, then the price was only $23k. Ok, let's drive.it... Like I said above it's much more tame than the VW, but for me that's a good thing. Its does its job perfectly around town, has oomph when you need it, gets great mileage and seems to be well built. Freeway entering is a little dicey but plan your moves and you won't have any issues. I was a GM mechanic in the 1980's and swore I'd never buy another one, but this little car changed my mind. Add to the fact it's built in South Korea boosts its overall quality. I laughed at the 3cyl engine, but my friend who is a GM mechanic now, informed me the engine is the same block that the Geo Metro had which routinely got 300K miles or more...if the body held up that long. So I've had the TB a year now and have Zero complaints. It does what it's supposed to do and does it well. I average 28 mpg in town, its quiet, a bit of a stiff ride but its a TB not a Cadillac and even the basic stereo, if you tune it correctly puts out a good sound. I guess the only thing I could say needs attention is the interior is a little blasé'. Some wood grain trim to compliment the car color wouldn't break GM to add in there. Fit and finish is good, everything is easily visible- Even the stupid note on the mid screen that says don't take your eyes off the road to read it (really - what idiot came up with that one?) Handling is nimble and light, stopping very good. Yes, I would buy another one if I needed it, but I'd rather have a 1956 GMC Napco 4x4 again...
