Pleasantly surprised

2003 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LS 4WD 4dr SUV (5.3L 8cyl 4A)

I had a need to tow the big boat, haul
the family and two dogs between the
main house and the lake house, and the
old truck was dying. As a lifelong
Honda and Toyota guy, I can't believe
that I bought a Suburban instead of a
Pilot or Sequoia. I have had it three
months and have been pleasantly
surprised with the build quality. Gas
mileage has been 18-19 MPG and is
better than I expected.... The family
took it on a 20 hour, 1000 mile round
trip on a three day weekend, and it was
great. Overall, the Suburban has been a
very comfortable hauler.

Best Features

Torque and power--snatches my boat and trailer off the ramp; XM Radio is fantastic and will do to FM what FM did to AM in the late '60s; seat comfort is great for long trips; 4WD.

Worst Features

Interior plastics are not yet up to Honda/Toyota standards.
