2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ 4dr Crew Cab 4WD 5.8 ft. SB (5.3L 8cyl 6A)

Have a 2012 Silverado crew cab, 4x4, LTZ.
Have 1300 miles on it and so far it has been great.
MPG is about 16.5 mixed city and hwy.
Only complaints so far are that this came with Goodyear Eagle tires and they are horrible.
have already slid several times.
Why do they put these cheap tires on a $50K vehicle.

Also, the interior gauges are somewhat outdated and have not been changed since 2007.
Otherwise, I think it will be a great truck.

Best Features

Cooled seats now available on 2012 models. Remote start, On-Star, hard drive to record CDs on, navigation.

Worst Features

Put Michelin tires on these trucks. Update the interior gauges and dials.

If you can afford a $50k vehicle you can certainly afford to go a tire shop and get a set of any brand tire you want. As far as slipping there is nothing wrong with the Goodyears seems to be a drivers problem.

This is a followup to my posting: I have contacted Chevrolet about the safety issues of the tires. I got a real smart*** answer that I had tire loyalty issues. Needless to say, I followed up with them and expect them to get this resolved. The Goodyear Eagle tires are not safe to drive and there is no way these tires should be on a $50K vehicle, or any vehicle for that matter. Do not buy this vehicle with these tires.

The Dodge Ram 2011 models came with Good Year HP's and they are junk...and they "the Big Wheels" know it from feedback, not just from the Ram or Bowtie community. Several I know have insisted that Dodge, in particular, get this sub-par tire of the truck and they cooperated after finding that the tires were indeed the culprit for wobble and steerability issues, nonetheless tire slippage. @5150, I don't think the money he has in his pocket is the issue...the issue is putting a subpar tire on a vehicle of this quality...when the "Big Wheels" know from previous years feedback that it is subpar. Michelin is the tire of choice for many, for many "proven" reasons.
