2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ 4dr Crew Cab 5.8 ft. SB (5.3L 8cyl 6A)

love the looks and ride but the 6 speed "learning" transmission is crap. it jerks and makes noise during low speed gear changes. GM says its "normal" and will not repair.

Best Features

ride comfort, fit and finish.

Worst Features

fix my transmission.

I drove one a few weeks ago and it didn't do any of this, and if it did I'm sure you could get it fixed maybe??? lol

I have owned the same truck now for 8 weeks and 3,000 miles. There are a few very vocal people who don't like this powertrain. It's not the most refined out there, but that being said there isn't anything wrong with the transmission. I averaged 17.5 miles per gallon at 80plus mph recently on a 1,200 mile road trip. Not bad for a truck driving that fast. This truck with incentives and dealer discount is far less than the Dodge or Ford. I have the 5.3 with the 6 speed transmission.
