Vehicle2011 Chevrolet Equinox LS 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 6A)
ReviewI have had my 2011 chevy equinox for 3 weeks, and put 913 miles on it. I love the handling of this car, lot of space. I bought a basic model, but it doesn't look cheap at all. However, the gas millage is not good as GM claim, I only get 17 mpg on city, and it's not even close to 22. I haven't drive a lot on highway yet, so I am looking forward to see what will be real the highway mileage. This car looks really nice but I am really disappointed about GMs quality control! I went back to the dealer 3 times for the last 3 weeks. The seat belt was twisted face to a wrong side, front passenger door window trim is not even as the rear door, rear door window has a problem to roll down

SAD, SAD, SAD 2011 Equinox, LT1 4dr SUV, 4 cyl Where do I start? I put off buying, waiting for the great mileage SUV. I was sucked in by 22/32 nonsense. I'm getting 18.9, half city and highway. Biggest problem is that I can't get spare keys. For 66 years. I've had an extra key in my wallet and spare key taped to back of my tag. Never got locked out. No spare keys for Nox owners. They can make a vehicle with thousands of parts, but can't make a key. My salesman told me they could. Visability is blocked by too-wide front and side pillers. Side pillers (between front and rear doors) together when blended with head rest of passenger seat, creates total blind spot. I'm 5'10" but I can't see any part of hood or top of front fenders so there is no way to gauge depth or width. When pulling up to parking bumper, I could end up bumping it, or being 2 feet away. With a pointed front bumper, that sure doesn't build confidence in my driving skills which are well-honed. They should have planned a front view camera as well as rear. I never would have bought Nox if I knew that even one of these issues existed. Where is the EPA and Highway Safety when you need them. I hope my insurance company doesn't read this, they may triple my premium. Other Nox postings said it and I repeat: Class action attorneys, take note. I love you Edmunds for giving me the opportunity to get it out there.Report it
