A Bad Boy Car
This is the only high performance car under 150k I had not owned. I made the buying decision based on the lines. This is a bad boy car. Looks so good. Comfort is good. Road noise is certainly there, but is covers by the loud engine. Instruments are easy to operate. It is a low slung car. So you get all that goes with it. The trunk will hold a spinning wheel. Haven’t tried luggage yet. I drive in economy mode so gas mileage is 22- ish. Unless I hot rod, then it drops considerable. I drive pretty conservatively unless I need to show out. Front camera is a great option so as not to hit curbs. I do wish it had lane change assist. It is not a car for everyone. I smile when I see it. And love the way I feel driving it. It is one of those cars that give you a thrill driving.

Its everything they say it is !
This is a world class sports car from GM. Finally a Corvette that I wanted to own. Ever since I saw the C7 on the road a few years ago I was struck by the incredible exterior styling. It is a strikingly beautiful car. The only thing I wondered was could it deliver on performance and engineering to compete with Porsche,Audi and the rest? The answer is YES IT CAN! Say what you will about GM using old push-rod technology in the engine bay but this motor just rocks. Power comes on fast and is always there when you want it and there is plenty off it. The 7 speed manual is very good and as smooth as my old Miata. Short throws and positive engagement every shift. The car handles very well. I did not want the tack goodies that the Z51 or Grand Sport provide. I got the Magnetic ride as an option to help button the car down on spirited rides and makes things a bit plusher when cruising through town. This is a do it all sports car. Yes it has a stigma of being an old guys retirement car but this C7 has changed that perception. It is a real world sports car with Super car type performance for a very reasonable price.

The Hopper
This purchase of my 2018 Z51 3LT Stingray Coupe is not my first Corvette. This my 10th Corvette, from T tops, Targa Tops, Convertibles, Autos, Manuals, and 1 ZR1. When I purchased this current Corvette, the Dealerships Internet Department which I dealt, DID NOT disclose to me regarding the GM Service Bulletin regarding WHEEL HOP, at the time I purchased the car in January 2019, which only included 2014 to 2017 Stingrays. When I experienced the SEVERE WHEEL HOPPING at parking lot speeds , in HARD RIGHT OR LEFT TURNS, I thought something was wrong. When I took the car back to the dealership at that time they printed the aforementioned GM BULLETIN, which says it’s NORMAL. I started a LEMON LAW with GM and was told ITS NORMAL, I contacted an Attorney and was told his EXPERT said he would not go to court because GM SAYS, ITS NORMAL. I went back to the Dealership I purchased the car from to NO HELP from them. I consider myself a Corvette Enthusiast, but since this experience, I am done with AMERICAS NUMBER ONE SPORTS CAR, yea right!!! By the way, as I stated early in the text, I purchased this car in January 2019 new for $63K and the Dealership I purchased from put a current value on this car at $45K. That’s almost $20K decrease in value in only 5 MONTHS!!!!

GM not trying
This is a very high performance car, but beyond that you can feel the GM culture of just not trying to build a quality car. When bought new the wheels were out of balance and the front end was not aligned properly. The steering wheel was crooked to boot. I have bought numerous Toyotas, Hondas and never would this occur. The seat backs are loose in the hinges - replaced but happened again. Just like a GM car from the 1960s or 70s. The fatal flaw is the 8 speed auto transmission. This is all over the internet so I will not elaborate but it makes the car annoying to drive and the dealer and GM are unable/unwilling to fix it. Despite the performance the net driving experience is negative. Never again. Update: Having concluded that this was the worst quality car I ever owned and the non fixable transmission problem I got rid of it. Not a minute too soon. BTW all the entries on the model drop down menu are "7M". This is an automatic.

Outstanding American muscle
After driving a Porsche Cayman for a few years, I got tired of the difficulty of getting maintenance, and the high costs associated with it. I wanted to replace it with an American car, so a Corvette was my only choice. I didn’t like the new C8 (I never want another mid-engine car) so I found a nice used C7. My car is a base coupe with the 3LT option package. I like it very much, and it has a better ride and is quieter than the Cayman was. I didn’t warn a GS because I saw no practical advantage to having one, and the prospect of spending a lot of money to replace the larger tires was demotivating. I have had C5 and C6 Corvettes in the past, and the C7 is better by far, particularly in regard to the seats. There are too many electronic gizmos, though - I would have preferred something less complicated. It is also on the line between fast and too fast. The acceleration can be exhilarating, but also unnerving. Overall, however, a fine and well-made car that is very pleasing.

Exciting Performance with Comfort
Where do I start? The car meets and exceeds all of my expectations for a high-performance sports car while maintaining the comfort to take long trips. The seven speed manual is an amazing gear box that really allows the engine to breathe. This in spite of the fact that it has plenty of torque throughout the whole RPM range. Completely satisfied and highly recommended.

What a disappointment
Purchased new 2018 Corvette Stingray. The car can't even last 4,235 miles without having to go to the shop due to engine misfire in # 7 cylinder, then have to wait a week for an appointment is very disappointing. After this problem is resolved I am getting rid of it. If a car can't make it this far I can't imagine what the repair costs would be after warranty expires.

Vette fun
Well built and fun car. Lots of safety and plenty of options for dash. Road noise at higher speeds with the large tires is only concern.
