Fifty years old and never better.

2003 Chevrolet Corvette 2dr Coupe (5.7L 8cyl 4A)

I had first thought about getting a
fiftieth edition corvette when I
realized that the anniversary coincided
with my fiftieth birthday. I eschewed
the convertible for the quieter ride of
the hatchback but made up for it with
the Plexiglas roof panel. The six-speed
manual gives the driver complete
control and is an integral part of
driving a car with the soul of a
corvette. I have only caused the Active
handling system to activate a few times
but it did steady the ride.

Best Features

The leather seating is very comfortable. When I am in need of comforting I set the ride to “Tour” and the car seemingly glides on rails. When I want the feel of the road I set the ride to “Sport” and get every nuance of the road surface.

Worst Features

The shift handle has a square knob and is a little awkward. I would prefer a round one.
