Used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado Consumer Reviews
ZR2 Is Amazing
I will start with the only negative, 1,000 miles in I am at exactly 18mpg. Not horrible, but it a sail and in a good head wind it really drops. The good - the driver display and infotainment are awesome and quick, the cameras are incredible, the seats are very comfortable for at least 4 hours ( the longest trip so far), the fit and finish in my truck is flawless, the suspension does not disappoint on or off road, the tires are not super aggressive, but great off road and reasonably quiet on road, handling is very good with great tracking responsive steering and very natural breaking, ample power all the way up the rpm range making passing or climbing a non-issue, the lights are great and the auto controls on and brights work without a hitch, the shifting is very smooth and decisive, and the appearance has to be seen to truest be appreciated - the best looking stock truck ever built IMHO. It’s hard not to just go drive this truck just to drive it. Time will tell if I have to suffer the first year blues of a new gen truck, but a month and a half in I absolutely love this truck! So now 2 seasons in on this truck and it has been flawless. Averaging 18MPG even over 18,000 miles. It has spent time over 13,000 feet, way below zero, tons of snow and ice, mud and crazy rocks and I still love this truck! It has gone in, on, up, and over stuff with ease that I would not have even considerd in the 2017 Z71. The comfort, ride, features, fit and finish, and style of this truck are still best in class. Raptors and Tacomas eat your heart out.

Something is seriously wrong with the electonics
First, let me say that I love everything about my truck! However, something causes the accessories part to not shut off properly. Twice it has killed the battery. The first time it did it, it also killed both display screens. After a few days in the shop, they got that fixed. The last time it died, the display screens came back on once it restarted. Today I had to take it to the shop because when I turned it off the radio continued to play. The technician at the shop said there were three pages of codes on it. It said it was going to update but yet the update was unsuccessful. The technician thinks maybe the camera that is plugged in (after market) may be keeping it from shutting off every time. I disconnected the camera and now we'll have to see what happens. However, I don't think that having a camera in my vehicle should cause such a problem. I only have 5,000 miles on my truck and I depend on it for doctor's appointments. I don't like the thought of being stranded. However, the salesman where I bought it from could only offer me a new battery. I'm starting to think that this truck is a lemon. I really don't want to get rid of it but something's got to be done. Other than the electrical problem, there is absolutely nothing about this truck that I don't like!

Fun to drive a must buy if shopping for a midsize
I had been shopping for a truck for pulling a utility trailer yet nice for travel in my job as a Field Engineer. I looked at the Tacoma and was disappointed with the power and high price. I researched the 2023 Colorado and knew it was the truck for me. I special ordered the truck in March and picked it up 3 weeks ago and so far it has been amazing!! I got the LT version fully loaded with all 3 LT packages with the extra trailering package, positive traction, spray in bedliner as well. I did not get 4 wheel drive since I never intend to go off road and rarely snows in Georgia. I owned 3 blazers and can count on one hand how many times I used 4 wheel drive. The turbo plus has plenty of power for a pickup. Yes it's not my BMW that has twin turbos but heck it's a truck just have to remember that. If you want certain things I highly recommend placing your own order for one ad get what you want. Also, if you happen to have a relative or friend that works or had worked with GM they can get you a family or friends discount right off the top. My neighbor was a retired GM employee and the discount saved me $1900. You will need it since the dealers are not willing to negotiate a deal especially if you special order. Go to Chevrolet.com and build it first then go get one!! PS Grey is an awesome color....

Junk, so sorry I bought this truck
So many issues with this truck since we bought it. Between infotainment issues, front camera sensors stopping the vehicle in traffic from shadows to the lack of roof support in trucks without sunroofs, this truck has been in the shop more than i.have driven it 7 months and 2700 miles later. Infotainment with Google user interface is the worst! I will never buy a vehicle with that in it again. It doesn't run updates and when it does it just kills the battery because it won't shut down. I am so frustrated that I paid all this money for this junk.

Don’t let it’s good looks fool you
Received my 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 two weeks ago. Now with 400 miles, the truck is currently in the shop. I got the “service lockers” that dings about every 5 seconds while driving (very annoying). Other issues since I took delivery are… 1. Excessive wind noise coming from the drivers side door. 2. Steering wheel squeaks when turning hard (almost like it’s lacking oil) 3. Infotainment screen goes black when starting the vehicle sometimes. Have to turn the truck off, let it sit for a while and the start it again for the screen to come back on. 4. There was quite a bit of surface rust on the front and rear diff when I took delivery. It’s cosmetic for now, but rust leads to problems. Overall, ownership has been very unpleasant.
