Used 2012 Chevrolet Colorado Consumer Reviews
Great value
Bought this in 2013 as a certified used truck from a Chevy Dealer with just over 20,000 miles. I drive it a LOT it's at 136,000 miles plus now. Trans fluid changeout at 75K I use full syn oil and average about 7500 miles between changes and it could go farther. Have used 4wd several times in dirt and snow tracks well in all conditions. Plugs changed at 99K with OEM AC Delco Iridium took about 45 minutes. Coolant change at 120K a low maintenance great performing truck at far less than a comparable Toyota. I only paid 25K including tax license and financing over 4 years. The traction control and abs work very well rear seat legroom is good. The other day a brand new 2018 Toyota wanted to race from a stop light in a 40 zone. He got me on the hole shot but by 3rd gear the DOHC gave me enuf to pass his new Toy by at about 55 LOL and he has the V6. Only mods are a K&N and 235 75 R 16 Hankook ATM's. That guy spent over 38K for his truck. I laughed all the way to the bank.

Nice Truck !!!
1600 miles on it and quite satisfied so far. I pulled a small pop-up trailer less than 100 miles and I was very impressed by the trailering aspects of the vehicle. The gas mileage was 14.5 per gal on the round trip. In summary good value, good looking black truck.
Great Truck
After owning a 1999 Chevy S10 Blazer for 13yrs this is a great truck to upgrade to. My parents gave me their 99 and I loved it but traded it in for a truck and my blazer had more kick to it but it hated it. I really like how simple the Colorado is, nothing fancy just the basic features and with Crew cab and Z71 package I got more than I ever wanted with it. Like my blazer i'm gonna keep it for a long time. If you are looking for a simple cheep reliable truck this would be a good one to look at. I haven't yet done much with it but I can drive from base to my parents house (200miles) in about half a tank which is great!
Expect about 10 years life
I bought the truck new in 2011. Regular cab 1 Lt 4X4 Currently the frame rails have rust up and down them. I expect the rust to eat through the thin frame rails in less than 10 years from now. My 99 Dakota has thicker frame rails and also more black paint on them.
2012 Colorado Crew LT3 V-8
Have owned the Colorado V8 for around 18 months, and it has been a true joy to drive, 300 HP in this relatively light vehicle is amazing, and it is a real sleeper. The sports suspension and low profile tires make it corner flat in most all situations. This is a little like driving a vette in pickup clothing. On the downside, the interior is pretty spartan, and the ride can get a little rough at times. Gas mileage pretty much sucks. All in all, a fine vehicle that I would buy again.
