Let's start with the climate control system. I have brought this car in 4 times while under warranty to have issues fixed with the a/c and blower. After the warranty was expired i brought the car in another three times for climate control issues. Also have issues with the security system. I am writing this review while i wait for the alarm system to reset. Happens 3-4 times a week. Car has some serious flaws that chevy wont fix

I had a malibu for 5 months, put new headlights, brakes, rotors, battery, tires and fixed the damaged exterior. All for the engine to fail not soon after at 150,000 miles. Good on gas, but did not do well on inclines. Very cheaply made, if you can find something better, go for that. Cause this aint it lmao

Good utilitarian car

This is our second one. Wife rolled the 1st down the side of the mountain and all three ladies crawled out the window uninjured. It handled great until she hit the unexpected snow storm. She loved the car, purchases for $10K with 33K miles in '06. The 2nd one was $8K with 44K miles. We did not like it as well until we had the front brakes, pad and rotors, replaced for $450. We like it now. It is economical, reliable, and comfortable; a great middle-aged woman's car. I'd buy another one if she wrecked this one, too.

Comfortable ride

I've had a hard time with small sedans finding a comfortable car, being 6' with long legs. The Malibu Classic is just right for me; with a power seat and peppy 4 cylinder engine, it's the perfect blend of price, comfort, and performance for my taste. Did I mention the price? Hard to beat at $11k with less than 16k miles.

Good Buy

I bought my 2005 Classic in September 2006 and have found it to be reliable and most of all comfortable. The gas mileage stated 25 MPG in the city and I would say I am getting close to that, maybe a little less. The comfort factor and generous truck space made it a sale. Price was a big concern. I was able to get mine for $9,000 with about 29,000 on it. It drives like a new car. I agree with the review about the carpet being cut too small for the passenger compartment.
