Finding an EV in the Southeast isn’t easy, and we were being patient waiting for a new Kia Niro EV, a new Nissan Leaf Plus or a new Chevy Bolt EUV, but we were told nothing was available even for a test drive, and it might be six months before that would change. Then the local Chevy dealer called and said a new 2022 Bolt EUV Premiere "launch edition" that had been previously claimed in a town nearby was suddenly available as the financing fell through on the deal there. Our Chevy dealer asked if we would like to try it out, and we did. It had literally every option imaginable, and it was fun to drive with a remarkable range (around 250 miles). It has just the right amount of room inside, especially in the back seat and even in the far back. Our favorite feature is the selectable "one-foot driving." After a little practice, you rarely need to use the brakes. It also has a bird's-eye view along side a rear view for reverse, which makes backing and parking a breeze. All the electronic features work well (wireless charging and Apple CarPlay is nice). Bottom line: we were lucky to get this EV and are very happy with it. And after a few weeks of driving, the fully charged range is around 280 miles! The Bolt EUV continues to impress!

I didn’t know what to expect since this is my first electric car but with that said I love it. I now look at how much gas other cars are using instead of how nice they are. I can charge at night and be full for the next day. I drive 100-150 miles a day so it is getting used. The 110 charger is useless except in emergency but the 240 will charge it from dead to full in about 6-8 hours. I drive mostly rule areas so 30-45 mph. I can drive all day and still have 50% charge left or I can get close to 300 miles on a full charge. That goes down to 240 ish on the hiway it feels larger then it is on the inside and smaller then it is on the outside it has all the comforts of modern car without the big price tag I don’t think I will ever buy another gas powered car again. Update. Today I got my free install to charge my car. The installer was very professional and helpful explaining everything about the situation. He was in and out in just over an hour Thank you Chevy. Now charging at home keeps me on the road. Very pleased with everything on this EV journey

2022 Bol Premier EUV - A+

Love this vehicle. Ride is smooth and extremely quiet. Handles like a hot hatchback. Punch off the line in Sport mode is responsive. Technology suite is complete but not overwhelming. Super Cruise is off the chart amazing - when you try it, you won't want to go back. Backseat room is outstanding, but you need to fold seats down for storage of groceries, etc.

Overall, we like it. We opted for everything except supercruise. The leather smells wonderful, even almost a year after purchase. Comfortable ride, spacious, with many amenities. When you get in, it senses the weather and sets seats, steering wheel and temp to accommodate. In the summer, we hit about 240mi on a charge, BUT in the winter we're down to about 150mi on a charge. Wasn't expecting that. I talked to mechanic about it & he said the vehicle compensates for the weather and previous battery life usage. My husband drives it mostly & says he turns all heating down to lowest to keep windows defogged & only listens to radio & still can only max out @ 150mi. So he basically freezes in the winter. Also, which might interest some, I found out you have to drive about 80,000mi to break even with the CO2s immitted to produce the vehicle. (ie; mining materials & production)

My hubby and I had a 2007 Honda Element that had it's catalytic converter stolen. It was a good little mountain goat of a car but it cost more to fix than the car was worth. So we decided to upgrade. What a great choice! The amount of features and comforts are almost overwhelming but it's presented in a package that's an easy learning curve. Our biggest concern was if he would fit at 6'10" but between how far the seats go back and the telescoping steering wheel, he's loving it! The car drives like a dream and is so quiet, which makes taking calls in the car or listening to music effortless. You don't have to yell at the phone mic. 🤣 We tested out the adaptive cruise control which was pretty neat! Didn't opt for the Super Cruise but since there's a monthly fee for it, I'm kinda glad we didn't. And all of the backup, parking etc etc etc cameras are super helpful. Even the one in the rear view mirror for when you have the car packed full of boxes and can't see out the back window was so convenient when we had a bunch of things to move. The only complaint I have would be the suspension is a bit hard going over things like speed bumps. That's it. It's been an absolute pleasure otherwise and the transition from gas to ev has been nothing but great for us. Terrific first ev! 😁

The electric vehicle is not for everyone. For me it works. I us the one pedal driving 100 percent of the time. And because I use that my range is from 269-283, which is over 30 miles then the Bolt is rated.

I drive Taxi, DoorDash, Lyft and Uber. Between 100-160 miles per day. Have outlet on side of house. Set it to charge during the night and b ready to go at 5:30 am. I was spending 8-900 per month on Gasoline. Barely raises my light bill There are incentives and also Chevrolet will install a charging station at your residence plus you get a charge cord with it. Best thing I have done in a long time

This is an amazing car! I’ve driven 2,800 miles in two months with no gasoline. I still giggle a little driving by the gas station. If you commute with the car and drive like a rational person the GOM will read 280 miles on a full charge. Freeway driving will drive your miles of charge down to 250. I’m still amazed at the quality of the car and the ergonomics Chevy put into it. If you drive one you’ll want one. Fair warning:-)

Had an unexpected issue with my 2013 VOLT charging system which has 85,000 miles, so opted to buy a Bolt especially based on type of driving I do. (original owner) Being a 10-year newer vehicle, there are many new features of which I was not familiar on the Volt but available on the Bolt Premiere and probably most current vehicles: rearview mirror rear camera display; heated steering wheel; foot-pedal brake regen; Super Cruise; Driver Assist; too many others to mention. One particular Bolt feature is the seat being closer to the ground than the Volt which makes it easier for exiting especially for senior women who are under 5'5". The downside is that the Bolt has amazing stop-to-go acceleration that, when used, causes the rear-end to fishtail. Perhaps different tires would remedy that issue. There seems to be almost constant low battery noise where as the Volt battery noise only came on when the battery had been depleted thereby using gas. The revolution noise was very annoying on the Volt. Also, there is no three-button garage door opener, which is a very basic option that should be part of a basic package. So far, so good. Have only driven 200 miles.

Takes 10-12 hours to charge on a level 2 charger. Car was fun to drive in the summer, although the range was disappointing on the highway. Car was still able to go about 200 miles, before charging another 10+ hours. The range estimator is unreliable, found this out by losing power after 50 miles when the estimate had been 80 at the start of the trip. Car had to be towed to a charger, despite ironically running out of juice at a gas station. Once again another 10 hours to recharge. Winter is a complete disaster. Car is lucky to make it 60 miles on a full charge. This is in city driving, I don't trust it to go out of town and risk freezing to death. I do appreciate the safety features like collision warnings and blind spot cameras, but I imagine those are available on most other new cars.

I bought my 2022 EUV about 10 months ago and have put on 6K trouble free miles. This is my third EV and my favorite. My 2012 Model S was too large and I didn't keep it long enough to run into the many Tesla issues that occur. At the time I bought it there weren't many options. My Fiat 500E was fun but not enough range. The Bolt has been great. I do have a couple of other gas powered cars. A 2019 Passport that I use in the winter. I live in Minnesota. I did drive the Bolt on occasion in the winter when the roads were good. I have a long commute, 100 mile all together, and the Bolt is great for that and running errands. I use Cross Climate 2 tires on all my cars and that dose take 20-30 miles off the range but worth it in bad weather. I charge overnight at home. The Bolt is not the best road trip car as it fast charges, well, not fast. It would make someone a great only vehicle if they did short city driving. It is quick and handles well but the seats are not the most comfortable. I do recommend this car.

Almost perfect vehicle

I've own this vehicle for almost 2 years now, bought it brand new. A premier trim. Car currently has 39,000 miles. The only issue I had was the key sometimes would work and sometimes would not, dealer could not replicate problem. I solved it my self by unplugging the 12V battery for a bit and plugging it back in which solved the problem. The AC failed at 36,000 miles which is pre-mature for a vehicle, but was fixed under warranty. This is concerning since the AC cools the battery. The car has been excellent with no battery degredaton. The Supercruise has been excellent, really safe and dependable. I had used the system through the mountains with turns and the system has worked flawlessly even slowing down in sharp turns. During those 39,000 miles of use, only two incident of the system failing is during when the lines on the freeway is not clear or has been changed with the sun in front of the car and the system got confused. I just wished Chevy would allow lower priced vehicle to have supercruise option and I seriously believe people would buy their cars just because of supercruise. I traded in my Bolt EV which I also loved just so I can have the supercruise. Chevy is sitting on a potential goldmine, I just don't get top people in the companies thinking. They are ahead of everyone else and they are sitting on this tech waiting for everyone to catch up instead of cornering the market by offering it on their most expensive vehicles. People who buys expensive vehicles would buy that vehicle regardless of Supercruise or not, they buy it because of luxury or capability.

Is your TIME important to you ? DON’T GET A BOLT

This vehicle is the worst EV on the market. Also the slowest EV on the market. If the vehicle is near 10% you are charging up, you’ll be sitting for almost 2 hours for a full charge. Charges at 55kw(VERY VERY SLOW). Once you reach 50% the vehicle will decrease charging to 30kw, making it take that much longer to charge. I’ve had this vehicle for 6 months , and put 30K miles on it. Once you reach 70% the vehicle will charge at 15-19 kw. Not to mention nowhere do they mention the highway mileage differential. You CAN NOT drive over 65 mph, if you want to get all 247 miles. Consistently drive 70mph for 100 miles (work drive) and the bolt will have used 120-140 miles. GARBAGE Highly recommend getting a TESLA. Or any other EV that’s not by Chevy. Not surprised they discontinued it. please please please, DO NOT BUY. If you drive 500-1000 miles a week like me, you I’ll be wishing you never signed for one. Getting gas takes 20 minutes a week. The Chevrolet Bolt takes about 10-18 hours a week at a fast charger. Is your TIME valuable to you ? If so, stick with gasoline.

Most people like this car because mist still not driven for high mileage. I drove it for Uber now it is only 41000 k . I bought it 7 months ago, the range drop for 80 percent 45k . Now when I charge it I get only 340k for 80 percent in charge. Not driving range it is charge range. In case if someone say because weather cold or change driving habits. By the way I do not recommend any EV from GM because they use same batteries in different models.
