Wow this car can get away with you if
you dont watch out. watch the
speedometer. Just have had it 3 weeks
and love it.
I traded in my 97 Metro for this one.
(I also owned a YUGO!) and a Pinto, and
an Escort Wagon
I spent this summer visiting family all
across the US, from Seattle to Chicago
to Denver, so I needed a reliable car,
but I'm a grad student with very little
money. That's why I got a Chevy Aveo
LS. I was often up around 40 mpg on the
freeway, so travel costs were pretty
low. This car has adequate power (even
for crossing the continental divide),
great responsiveness, and plenty of
features to make the ride comfortable
and enjoyable (especially the mp3
player). The interior is very
roomy, though you wouldn't know it from
looking. I put 5000 miles on it in 2
weeks and still wasn't sick of driving it.
very roomy trunk
great fuel efficiency
deceptively spacious interior
one of the front cupholders is too
small. It needs to be large enough to
hold a normal bottle of pop (16 oz or 20
oz.) Also, the front seats need armrests.
2004 Chevrolet Aveo LS 4dr Hatchback (1.6L 4cyl 5M)
I have had this car for only 2 weeks
and have 120 miles on it, but I fully
enjoy it. I've owned plenty of cars to
compare it to and I tell you, this car
is a great city car and fun to drive.
It takes corners tightly and is very
roomy inside with plenty of window area
and head and leg room. I have an
automatic, so the take off is a little
sluggish, but I didn't buy it expecting
nor caring about burning rubber from
the stop light. I shopped economy cars
and feel I got the best one made so far
for the price.
Lots of window area, plenty of space in
the vehicle (i have the hatchback),
tight cornering, good gas mileage, nice
design inside and out, efficient
engine, takes bumps well (rigid, but
still smooth, if that makes sense), and
my friends and strangers like it too.
Haven't had enough experience with the
car to find anything wrong. So far, I
like everything about it. If you want a
quicker take off from a stop, get the
manual stick shift instead of the
