There is no truck better than the
Avalanche. Nothing even comes close to
the Ride, Quality, and Value of the
Chevrolet Avalanche Z71. This truck
rides like a luxury car, has a better
turning ratio than smaller trucks I
have owned, and has the power to pull
whatever you want. It doesn't even
know my 20 foot boat is back there.
Then you have the well thought out
interior and all the wonderful options.
I have looked around and there is no
other truck/suv that can compare. Some
have size. Some have power. Some have
the options. None of them have the
whole package like the Chevrolet
Avalanche Z71 does!
There are so many good features to pick
one is very difficult. I would have
thought the configurable mid-gate. But
actually I would have to say the self
adjusting mirrors are a huge help when
backing a boat into the water or even
just trying to back into a parking
Curious if hybrid technology would be a
help to fuel mileage (which isn't bad
for a truck!) without taking away
towing power or performance.
this vehicle leaks loads of dust into
the cab and bed, the torque is too low
for large loads, the storage boxes on
the outside of the bed are useless(leak
dust and water), back seat room is very
limited for an adult on an extended
road trip, dvd player doesn't rotate to
side views(you have to sit in the
middle of the rear seat), rear radio
controls are confusing to use, exterior
plastic trim is poorly attached to the
body and makes a lot of noise at road
speed because it buffets in the wind,
seats are hard and impossible to adjust
to a comfortable position, you cannot
load a 4-wheeler in the bed.
my spouse likes the quiet and smooth
extend the rear seating area at least
12 inches and call me next time.

NOW. GAS MILAGE ISNT GREAT BUT
FEASABLE. I AVERAGE ABOUT 350 MILES A
TANK. ABOUT $47 TO FILL UP FROM EMPTY
AT ABOUT $1.79 A GALLON. REGULAR
UNLEADED SEEMS TO PERFORM BEST IN THE
ENGINE. POWER IS GOOD ALTHOUGH
THROTTLE RESPONSE COULD STAND TO BE A
TAD BETTER. SOME OF THE INTERIOR IS
SOMEWHAT CHEAP BUILD BUT MANAGEABLE.
I LIKE THAT THE REAR WALL CAME
OUT. I HAD THE REAR WALL REMOVED
(WHICH ONLY TOOK ABOUT 10 MIN TO SLIDE
OUT) AND A NEW WALL MADE OF MDF
INSTALLED AND A SUB ENCLOSURE BUILT
INTO THE BACK OF IT FOR MY SUBS. DIDNT
HAVE TO SPEND MONEY DEFACING THE TRUCK
BY HAVING ANYTHING CUT OR DRILLED.
GAS MILAGE. THE INTERIOR COULD BE OF
SLIGHTLY BETTER BUILD QUALITY. LESS
FLIMSY PLASTIC AND MAYBE MORE STANDARD
FEATURES. ALSO NEXT YEAR COLOR KEY THE
PLASTIC AROUND THE BED. MAYBE AN SS
VERSION BUT THAT MIGHT BE ASKING FOR
TOO MUCH BUT ID TRADE MINE FOR ONE.
