The 58-year-old dealership recently underwent a multimillion dollar renovation that incorporated a King Ranch Saddle Shop into the heart of its showroom.
Guests may purchase King Ranch fine leather goods — everything from horse saddles to jewelry to cowboy-rugged apparel — and learn about one of the world's largest ranches, which has a luxurious Ford F-150 trim named after it featuring its logo and signature leather.
"Yes, there is a King Ranch near Kingsville, Texas, and that's the inspiration behind the F-150 King Ranch trucks," Matt Marquart, spokesman for Tommie Vaughn Ford, told Edmunds. "It's a huge name in Texas history and the history of the American West."
The King Ranch Saddle Shop is the first one in a Houston dealership and one of the first inside a dealership in the state of Texas, he said.
"By having it at the dealership, the intention is to draw people to the showroom that normally might not visit," Marquart said. "Customers are responding very well."
Edmunds says: A dealership learns to saddle up new business prospects by honoring a proud Texas tradition.
