AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — Summit Place Kia of Waterford and Mt. Clemens is supporting U.S. veterans through a golf tournament set for July 19.
Proceeds will benefit the local Friends of the Veterans Treatment Court to assist veterans with mental-health treatment, alcohol and substance abuse treatment, transportation, food, housing and counseling, along with a veteran-mentor program.
The effort seeks "to address the underlying issues that brought the veteran into the court system and guide these men and women back on track to a healthy and productive life," according to an Auto Credit Express statement on Thursday.
In 2014, the LaLonde Charity Open and related fundraising efforts raised $90,779 to help veterans.
The golf tournament will be held at the Golf Course at Pine Knob.
Edmunds says: Summit Place Kia's Facebook page is filled with photos of happy customers. The dealership is extending that goodwill to U.S. veterans.
