Special Staff Helps Lexus of Greenville Deliver Signature Luxury Service

GREENVILLE, South Carolina — Like the complimentary coffee it pours, Lexus of Greenville is warming the hearts of its guests by staffing its free snack bar with individuals on the autism spectrum.

Five workers rotate running Cafe Blends, so named for blending autism into the workforce, to provide patrons with free coffee, tea, espresso, fruit drinks, bagels, chips and the like.

Lexus of Greenville partners with Nobis Works, a job-training program in Atlanta, to staff Cafe Blends.

"It is a fantastic way to give back and we like being part of an organization that helps young people learn work skills," Lexus of Greenville General Manager Bill Annear told Edmunds.

Lexus customers have responded positively, too.

Annear receives several e-mails a month commending the dealership for welcoming employees with special needs.

The presence of Cafe Blends soothes guests, Annear pointed out.

"Our customers are good with staying in our waiting room," he said.

Edmunds says: This big-hearted dealership is setting a new standard and pleasing customers at the same time.
