SANTA MONICA, California Simpson Buick GMC will be the first car dealership in Southern California to participate in an Edmunds.com Price Promise Takeover Event.

The event will be held March 28-30 in Buena Park, California.

Every new car in stock is guaranteed to be priced at True Market Value, as verified by Edmunds.com. Edmunds.com will also make its Live Advice staff available to offer shoppers objective advice through an Internet and telephone "hot spot" located inside the dealership.

"Edmunds.com's Price Promise Takeover Event is an opportunity through which both car shoppers and dealers truly stand to benefit," said Seth Berkowitz, president of Edmunds.com. "Events like these are a great example of Edmunds.com's mission to build a better car-shopping experience. We're always excited to work with dealerships like Simpson Buick GMC who share that same vision."

Simpson Buick GMC is the only Buick/GMC dealership in California to earn Edmunds.com's 2014 Five Star Dealer Award, which is given annually to dealerships who have earned an average five-star rating on Edmunds.com's Dealer Ratings and Review page.

"We're excited to be partnering with Edmunds.com to help car shoppers feel great about their new car purchase — not just about the vehicle, but about the price they are paying for it, too," said David Simpson, president of Simpson Buick GMC of Buena Park.

Edmunds says: During similar "takeover" events in New York, Northern California and St. Louis, shoppers were able to cut down on negotiation times while securing a price that gave them confidence about their purchase. Dealerships found that they were able to sell more new cars at the same time.
