NEW YORK — Scion's Pure Process Plus, which allows customers to research a car through Scion.com, find it at a dealership, apply for credit and secure a price, all "without leaving the couch," will roll out to more Scion dealerships this year, Toyota announced at the 2015 New York Auto Show.
"Scion will continue working with dealers and Toyota Financial Services to fine-tune the process and plans to significantly expand its reach in 2015," Toyota said in a statement as it introduced the 2016 Scion iM and Scion iA small cars.
A number of Scion dealerships have already debuted Pure Process Plus.
They include Scion Carlsbad in Carlsbad, California; Johnstons Scion in New Hampton, New York; Classic Scion in Waukegan, Illinois; Autoland Scion in Springfield, New Jersey and Alamo Scion in San Antonio, Texas.
"We think buying or leasing a new Scion should be simple, easy and fun," said Toyota. "With Pure Process Plus, we've improved the buying experience by expanding on our Pure Process program to make it even faster and easier to get the Scion of your choice and spend less time in the dealership."
Toyota advises car shoppers that if their local dealer is not in the program now, "it may be in the future."
Edmunds says: Car shoppers can check the Pure Process Plus Web site for participating dealers or stay in touch with their local dealer as this program expands to more dealerships this year.
