AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — The Ram Truck Test Drive Experience will be featured at the 2015 Fifth Third Bank Michigan State Fair, running September 4-7 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan.
The Test Drive Experience, which has made appearances at auto shows and other events around the country, is designed to showcase the power, traction, ground clearance, ride and handling of such models as the Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks.
Fair-goers will have the opportunity to experience the 40,000-square-foot interactive Ram Truck adventure zone, which includes rides with professional drivers in Ram vehicles as they negotiate the test track, with obstacles like a 13-foot high, 30-degree mountain, a timber crawl, offset steel bumps and a side-hill demonstration.
"Ram is proud to be a part of this year's Michigan State Fair, a longstanding tradition that celebrates the importance of farmers and farming communities to our state," said Jeff Hines, director of the Great Lakes Business Center for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, in a statement. "The Ram test track is always a crowd pleaser and we welcome the opportunity to bring this exciting event to the fair so participants can experience the power and capability of Ram trucks."
In addition to the adventure zone, Ram will also be displaying the Raminator monster truck at the Michigan State Fair. Named "Truck of the Year" multiple times by the Monster Truck Racing Association, Raminator also set the record for the world's fastest monster truck, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
Ram notes that there will be no additional fee for fair attendees to take part in the Test Drive Experience, and those who participate will receive a complimentary Ram Trucks hat.
Edmunds says: Ram is hitting truck buyers where they live with the Test Drive Experience, demonstrating the ruggedness and capability of its vehicles.
