The dealer group, which has 14 brands and owns 22 locations, including Atlantic Hyundai and Advantage Honda, has its name as a presenting sponsor on all of the haunted house's marketing and advertising material.
Furthermore, the attraction's exterior becomes a showroom of sorts.
Various vehicles are parked on the grounds, so visitors can kick the tires on such models as a 2016 Hyundai Sonata, Toni Anne Fardette, NY Auto Giant director of business development, told Edmunds.
A salesperson on site will hand out NY Auto Giant goodie bags to potential customers as well.
"We sponsored it because we are always looking for community events that we feel we can take part in," she said. "It's more about being there for the community, so any sales from it would be a bonus."
Each dealership under the NY Auto Giant umbrella received complimentary tickets to the venue as well, Fardette said.
"It was up to the individual dealership if they wanted to give them away to customers, to use it as a sales incentive or to thank an employee," Fardette said.
This is the second Halloween event supported by NY Auto Giant, Fardette explained. The group also sponsors the Flick or Treat Festival that shows a movie in addition to trick or treating.
"Our partners all live on Long Island, so we look for any way to be neighborly," she said.
Edmunds says: This dealership group gets into the Halloween spirit.
