TORRANCE, California — Toyota is expanding the 2017 Toyota RAV4 compact SUV lineup with the addition of a new RAV4 Platinum gasoline-engine model, priced at $37,090.
The top-of-the-line RAV4 Platinum adds a number of standard features, including full body color, an Entune premium audio system, footwell ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel and smart key. The new model also includes a height-adjustable power rear door, a bird's-eye view camera and plush floor mats.
It is on the way to Toyota dealerships.
The base 2017 RAV4 is priced at $25,850, including destination fee.
Toyota said the 2017 RAV4 gets an average overall price increase of $540.
Pricing on the new RAV4 SE model, which will be available on the RAV4 gas and RAV4 Hybrid, will be announced later.
The 2017 RAV4 Hybrid starts at $29,970, while the RAV4 Hybrid XLE is priced at $34,970.
All prices include a $940 destination charge.
The carryover 2017 RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid now are equipped with Toyota Safety Sense P on all versions. It includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane departure warning with steering assist, and dynamic radar cruise control.
Galactic Aqua Mica is a new exterior color.
