Michigan City Dealership Helps To Ignite Holiday Fireworks With Donation

MICHIGAN CITY, Indiana Michigan City Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram expects to hear oohs and aahs on the Fourth of July not just for the fireworks show it is sponsoring, but also for the Jeeps and Ram trucks it will have on hand to help at the event.

The show will take place along the shore of Lake Michigan, and the dealership has donated $20,000 to offset some of the costs of the community celebration, a first for the dealership.

Owner Tom Crane told Edmunds he will bring a full line of 2015 Ram Trucks and about 30 Jeep Wranglers to help ferry people from the parking lot to the viewing area, which is a long walk in the sand.

"It will be an opportunity to show off some of our vehicle lineup," Crane said.

He has also hired an airplane to fly along the lakefront up to nearby Chicago trailing a Ram truck banner with his dealership's name on it.

"We expect more than 100,000 people to see it," he said. "We are going to raise awareness about Michigan City Chrysler Dodge, Jeep & Ram and yes, I expect to increase sales."

Edmunds says: A patriotic dealership gets in on the Fourth of July festivities in a big way.
