NEW YORK — The 2016 Cadillac CT6, Lexus RX 350 and Land Rover Range Rover SVAutobiography are loaded with luxury details that should lure luxury car shoppers into showrooms. The 2015 New York Auto Show, which is open to the public now, highlights new luxury cars and SUVs.
The 2016 Lexus RX 350 SUV features premium details inside and out, including optional Yamaha laser-cut ornamentation for "those who appreciate an additional dimension of interior refinement," Toyota said in a statement.
Lexus' RX also can be ordered with heated outboard rear seats. The redesigned RX 350 is expected to arrive at Lexus dealerships this fall.
The 2016 Cadillac CT6, the brand's new flagship sedan, features an all-new Articulating Rear Seat package with such amenities as a massage feature and an armrest with media controls, including HDMI and USB ports.
The CT6 is expected to arrive at Cadillac dealerships toward the end of this year.
The 2016 Range Rover SVAutobiography makes grocery runs even more pleasant, thanks to an optional sliding wood luggage floor for easy loading and unloading. It is due in Land Rover showrooms this fall.
With the touch of a button, the rear passenger can reposition the empty front passenger seat, making room for the fully reclining rear seats. Rear passengers also get a champagne storage compartment and Venetian leather first-class travel cases.
All of these details are critical to winning the luxury shopper.
"Luxury auto consumers expect the highest-quality vehicles as well as designs that stir their emotions because their vehicles reflect who they are and make a statement about their lifestyles," said Mark Templin, Lexus International executive vice president, in a speech last week.
Edmunds says: Sometimes it's the little details that close the deal, as these luxury automakers know.
