"Keyes adds a convenient location in the northern Los Angeles region to better serve our fuel cell customers in Southern California," said Dave Zuchowski, Hyundai Motor America CEO, in a statement.
Approved dealers must fulfill significant additional hydrogen fuel cell requirements in customer service and technical services, Hyundai said.
"Keyes Hyundai is thrilled to be added as a qualified dealer for Hyundai's zero-emissions Tucson Fuel Cell hydrogen electric vehicle," said David Kohan, Keyes Hyundai general manager.
The main rival to the Tucson Fuel Cell is the 2016 Toyota Mirai sedan.
The 2016 Tucson Fuel Cell is available now for customers in the Los Angeles and Orange County area.
It can be leased for $499 per month for a 36-month term with a $2,999 down payment. This includes unlimited complimentary hydrogen refueling and At Your Service Valet Maintenance at no extra cost.
Upgrades for the new model year include HomeLink connectivity and two new exterior color choices. They are Hydro Blue and Chromium Silver.
Hyundai said it has delivered more than 75 Tucson Fuel Cells in the U.S. since its introduction in June 2014.
Edmunds says: The number of California Hyundai dealers who can take care of customers in the market for a Tucson Fuel Cell vehicle is growing.
