AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — A limited number of 2016 Jeep Wrangler Red Rock special-edition models, based on the Wrangler Red Rock Concept SUV shown at SEMA, are bound for Jeep dealerships, Fiat-Chrysler said.
Specific launch timing and pricing were not announced.
The production version of the Wrangler Red Rock will debut in celebration of the upcoming 50th annual Easter Jeep Safari.
Just 50 units will be built.
Fiat-Chrysler said the Wrangler Red Rock special-edition model will feature some of the content shown on the Red Rock Concept.
Some items on the concept will be available as aftermarket parts from Mopar.
The concept is spun off the Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock and features a body-color grille, Red Rock hood decal, a Rock-Trac transfer case and power-dome vented hood.
The cabin features Amaretto Brown Katzkin leather seats with silver accented stitching and a serialized Red Rock grab handle.
Edmunds says: Better get the conversation going with your Jeep dealer if you want to get in line for one of these Wrangler Red Rock special-edition models.
