AUBURN HILLS, Michigan Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will revive a storied nameplate when the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer arrives at dealerships in fall 2018.

The new Jeep Grand Wagoneer will be a top-of-the-line, three-row version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Pricing was not announced. The revived Grand Wagoneer will compete with the Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave, among others.

The automaker disclosed the Jeep future-product plans on Tuesday.

Ambitious plans are in store for Jeep.

They include a single replacement for the Jeep Compass and Patriot, an unnamed vehicle due in spring 2016.

The next-generation Jeep Wrangler SUV is due out in spring 2017, while the Jeep Cherokee will be refreshed with a mild redesign in fall 2016.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee will be completely redesigned for fall 2017.

The new Jeep Renegade, the so-called "baby Jeep," which debuts this year, will get a minor makeover in mid-2017.

Edmunds says: If you're a car shopper who likes to plan ahead, Jeep has some tantalizing products in store in the coming years.
