MAHWAH, New Jersey — Production of the Jaguar XK coupe and convertible will end later this year, Jaguar Land Rover told Edmunds on Wednesday.

"2015 will be the last model year for the Jaguar XK," wrote Wayne Kung, a Jaguar Land Rover spokesman, in response to a query. "There is no immediate replacement."

New Jaguar offerings include the 2015 Jaguar F-Type coupe, which arrives at dealerships this spring, followed by the Jaguar XE compact sport sedan in 2016.

While the traditional-looking XK offered car shoppers a link to the brand's past, it was bumping up against the F-Type in terms of pricing.

The 2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe starts at $65,895, including an $895 destination charge. The 2014 Jaguar XK coupe starts at $85,395, including shipping.

The Jaguar XK targets the 2014 BMW 6 Series, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and Porsche 911.

Edmunds says: The countdown clock is ticking for car shoppers who want to get their hands on the Jaguar XK.
