GENEVA — The Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge concept may be edging closer to reality, as Nissan's upscale brand teased the sound of the luxury sedan in a new YouTube video.

Infiniti confirmed on Wednesday that the "identity of the big personality engine with forced induction" will be revealed at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show.

However, it noted: "The most powerful Infiniti ever has not been confirmed for production."

The preview describes "the sound of premium automotive performance," according to Infiniti.

Company officials have been ambiguous about the type of powertrain the production Q50 Eau Rouge will carry. It is expected to generate over 500 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque.

The Q50 Eau Rouge concept debuted in January at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. At the time, it was described as a design study based on the production Q50 luxury sedan.

The Q50 supersedes the Infiniti G37 and competes with the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Edmunds says: Sounds like a winner, but Infiniti says it will continue to listen to feedback from potential customers as it considers whether to build a production version of the Q50 Eau Rouge.
