DETROIT — From now until June 30, General Motors is extending the GM military discount to all veterans.
The offer applies regardless of discharge date, GM said on Thursday.
The military discount can be combined with most current incentives.
The program extension covers all active, reserve, retired and veteran military from all service branches: U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, National Guard and Coast Guard.
Eligible customers must take delivery by June 30. USAA members are eligible for an additional $750 discount.
"This discount is just one part of our ongoing salute to those who serve our country," said Steve Hill, GM vice president of U.S. sales and service.
Ford is offering $500 in bonus cash toward the purchase or lease of an eligible new 2013-'15 Ford vehicle as part of its military incentive program. The program is not available on Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, Mustang Boss 302, Focus Electric and F-150 Raptor.
The Chrysler military discount program offers up to $500 in bonus cash toward the purchase or lease of 2013-'14 vehicles, excluding SRT models, Viper, Dodge Dart SE and Fiat 500e. The program is for active, active reserved, retired military, retired military reserve or honorably discharged veterans within 12 months of discharge date.
