DEARBORN, Michigan — The Ford Holiday Sales Event, which runs through January 4, 2016, offers special financing rates and cash-back deals to shoppers in the market for a new vehicle during the holiday season.
Examples of bargains available during the Holiday Sales Event include zero-percent financing for 72 months on select 2015 models, like the C-Max Hybrid, Escape, Expedition, Fiesta, Focus Electric, Fusion and Taurus.
Alternatively, buyers can opt for zero-percent financing for 60 months plus, $1,000 holiday bonus cash, on such 2015 models as the C-Max Hybrid, Escape and Focus, as well as the 2016 Escape and Fusion.
A Ford spokesperson told Edmunds that shoppers also will be able to take advantage of a special 60-month, zero-percent finance offer on a 2015 Ford F-150 pickup that cannot be combined with other deals or incentives.
As previously reported by Edmunds, the Holiday Sales Event replaces Ford's Friends & Neighbors promotion, which had been scheduled to run through January 4 but ended on November 30 as a result of feedback from Ford dealers.
In addition to Ford, other brands are giving car shoppers a reason to celebrate the season with special purchase and lease offers.
For example, the Chevrolet Wrap Up the Deals, Wrap Up the Year event provides Holiday Bonus Tag cash allowances on models like the 2015 Camaro, Impala and Silverado, and such 2016 vehicles as the Equinox, Cruze, Malibu and Traverse.
With Chrysler's Year End Blockbuster promotion, shoppers will get zero-percent financing for 75 months, plus up to $1,500 bonus cash, on select models, including the 2015 Chrysler 200 and Chrysler 300 sedans and the Town & Country minivan.
The Happy Honda Days event offers 0.9 percent financing on models like the 2016 Accord sedan and Odyssey minivan, as well as lease deals ranging from $149 to $229 per month on such vehicles as the 2015 Civic and Accord coupe and sedan and the CR-V compact SUV.
Many automakers and individual dealerships are running holiday specials at this time of year, so it's worth checking with your local dealer to see what kind of savings are available.
Of course, most of these deals are limited-time offers, some apply only to the oldest vehicles currently in stock, and some are available only to existing customers. Also, offers can vary according to geographic area, trim level of the vehicle, the customer's credit rating and specific lease or financing terms.
Edmunds says: December provides car shoppers with a wide range of holiday and year-end bargains.
