Fiat-Chrysler Suits Up for 2016 Super Bowl Ad Blitz

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan Fiat-Chrysler said it will air two commercials during Sunday's Super Bowl 50 broadcast, joining a large group of auto advertisers that also includes Audi, Acura, Buick, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mini and Toyota.

"The first spot will air after the halftime performance with Coldplay," Fiat-Chrysler said in a statement. "The second spot will debut during the first commercial break in the fourth quarter."

It is not known which brands will be the focus of this year's Fiat-Chrysler Super Bowl offensive.

The automaker frequently heads to the top of the Super Bowl advertising fray.

Last year's noteworthy offerings included the "Blue Pill" commercial for the 2016 Fiat 500X SUV, a "Beautiful Lands" commercial for the 2015 Jeep Renegade SUV and one for Dodge dubbed "Wisdom."

Auto advertisers will showcase a wide range of vehicles at the Super Bowl, including the 2017 Acura NSX, 2017 Audi R8, 2016 Buick Cascada, 2017 Hyundai Elantra and 2016 Toyota Prius.

Edmunds says: There are usually some surprises in store for car shoppers when it comes to Super Bowl auto ads, but most of the lineup is in place at this point. Edmunds is ready to track the most popular ones during and after the Big Game.
