Edmunds Named to Computerworld's List of Best Places to Work in IT

Edmunds has been named one of the 2017 Best Places to Work in IT by Computerworld.

This is the second consecutive year in which Edmunds has been recognized with this honor, which acknowledges the top 100 companies that create a challenging environment for their IT staffs while also providing excellent compensation and benefits. Edmunds ranked third among the 29 organizations with 1,000 or fewer U.S. employees that were included on the list.

"Our IT teams are the cornerstone of operations at Edmunds, and this award is a testament to the dedication and best-in-class solutions that they deliver to the entire workforce," said Avi Steinlauf, Edmunds chief executive officer. "Edmunds is committed to building a rewarding culture that nurtures innovation and diversity of thought, which we believe is critical to our success. We are deeply invested in ensuring that our IT teams have the benefits and resources they need to continue to excel and thrive."

Among other resources, Edmunds provides IT staff with open workspaces and informal meeting areas that encourage innovation and the sharing of ideas. Developers have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects, including applications that explore a range of capabilities, such as artificial intelligence and natural language processing.

Their personal and professional growth is supported with such companywide events as Hackomotive, an Edmunds-sponsored "hackathon" that awards thousands of dollars to the most innovative ideas. At the same time, the Edmunds Results-Only Work Environment (ROWE) gives team members the flexibility to set their own hours and take time off, as long as they deliver the expected results.

"The organizations on this year's Best Places to Work in IT list excel at creating a dynamic and satisfying IT work environment," said Ken Mingis, executive editor of Computerworld. "In a competitive market for tech talent, these outstanding employers are able to attract highly skilled IT pros by offering great benefits, new learning opportunities, access to cutting-edge technologies and challenging, business-critical projects."
