Lamborghini spokesman Luke Vandezande told Edmunds that U.S. pricing has not been announced.
Just 500 units of the roadster — one of the most expensive two-seat convertibles in the world — will be built.
The Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce coupe debuted at the 2015 Geneva Auto Show. All 600 cars have been snapped up by buyers.
The coupe version accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of more than 217 mph. It is equipped with a 740-horsepower 6.5-liter V12 engine and seven-speed automatic transmission. It is not clear at this point whether the roadster will turn in the same performance numbers.
Edmunds says: While formal pricing has not been announced, luxury car shoppers should expect a price tag of around $500,000 for this special roadster.
