Dealers Open Order Books for 2017 Ford F-150 STX and Super Duty STX

DEARBORN, Michigan — The 2017 Ford F-150 STX and F-Series Super Duty STX trucks with special exterior and interior upgrades are available to order now through Ford dealers.

The 2017 F-150 STX is priced at $35,615.

The 2017 F-250 STX starts at $34,910 and the F-350 STX is priced at $36,080. All prices include a $1,195 destination charge.

This is the first time the F-Series Super Duty is offered with the STX appearance package.

"STX is for customers who want the utility of an F-Series truck in a stylish, well-optioned package at a competitive price," said Doug Scott, Ford truck group marketing manager, in a statement.

The F-150 STX is positioned between the XL and XLT models and is available with the 2.7-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, 5.0-liter V8 engine and the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine.

The package adds a number of items, including 20-inch machined-aluminum wheels, a black billet-style grille and black sport cloth seats.

The Super Duty STX package is available with either the 6.2-liter V6 gas engine or 6.7-liter V8 Power Stroke diesel engine. It can be ordered on all Super Duty cab configurations.

Upgrades include a bright chrome grille, unique aluminum wheels and chrome front-and-rear step bumpers.

The STX appearance package is designed to make the F-150 more competitive against the Chevrolet Silverado, Ram 1500 and Toyota Tundra.

The F-Series Super Duty takes on the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, GMC Sierra 2500 HD and Ram 2500/3500.

Edmunds says: The STX appearance package should hit the sweet spot for value-minded truck buyers seeking a custom look at an affordable price.
