Cadillac Escalade IQ Gets More Than 160 Color Options in a $55K Customization Package

160 color options

Cadillac says Curated buyers will have more than 160 exterior colors available, ranging from traditional metallic paint to frosted and matte treatments. Inside, as many as 44 colors can be applied across the three rows of seats, center console and floor mats.

Customers won't have to navigate those possibilities alone. Each buyer gets a design concierge who works with the customer and dealer through consultation and guided configuration sessions. Cadillac says the process is modeled after the experience offered with the hand-built Celestiq, its flagship EV.

The finished Escalade IQ will also get some details designed to emphasize its rarity. Each one will be hand-painted and assembled by craftspeople at Cadillac's Artisan Center in Warren, Michigan, and will receive a unique VIN and serialized builder's badge.

The Escalade IQ itself doesn't change

The extensive customization doesn’t alter the Escalade IQ's basic mechanical package. Cadillac says the SUV will continue to offer up to 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque in its maximum-performance Velocity Max setting, along with a Cadillac-estimated 465 miles of driving range.

Range is already one of the IQ's strongest selling points. In the Edmunds EV Range Test, an Escalade IQ traveled 558 miles on a charge, the longest distance we have recorded from an EV at the time. The trade-offs are size and weight — we found the more-than-9,000-pound SUV far happier cruising quietly than being hustled through corners, but that's not unexpected from such a large cruiser.

The cabin remains familiar, too, including the 55-inch dashboard display and Super Cruise hands-free driving system. Our editors previously praised the IQ's quiet interior, upscale materials and surprisingly helpful four-wheel steering, which makes the enormous SUV easier to maneuver than its dimensions suggest.

When can you get one?

Curated by Cadillac Escalade IQ production is planned for the 2027 model year, with sales limited to the U.S. and Canada. The automaker expects customer deliveries to begin in the second half of 2027.
