MUNICH, Germany — The BMW Concept Active Tourer Outdoor will make its world debut on July 12 at the OutDoor trade fair in Germany, BMW said on Monday.

The second concept version of the BMW Concept Active Tourer is aimed at outdoor enthusiasts.

"The BMW Concept Active Tourer Outdoor combines comfort and dynamic design with a high level of spatial functionality and intelligent access to BMW ConnectedDrive services," said BMW in a statement.

BMW offered few hints about the Concept Active Tourer Outdoor, but suggested it may help you to plan your route "not only on the road." The German automaker has not provided any images of the new concept at this point.

The BMW Concept Active Tourer, a plug-in hybrid aimed at the premium compact segment, debuted at the 2012 Paris Auto Show.
