SANTA MONICA, California — Black Friday sales, promoted by manufacturers and individual dealers, can mean significant savings for consumers in the market for a new vehicle at this time of year.
The day after Thanksgiving isn't just for shoppers sniffing out deep discounts on Ugg Boots and electronics. Wise car buyers can skip the crowds at malls and big-box stores and instead head to their local dealer where considerable savings are to be found on a wide range of vehicles.
Chevrolet, for example, is running the Chevy Black Friday Sale, which offers zero-percent financing, $1,000 cash back and no monthly payments until next year on a number of models, including the 2014 Camaro, 2014 Silverado 1500 pickup, 2014 Cruze sedan, 2015 Malibu sedan, 2015 Traverse SUV and 2015 Equinox compact SUV.
The Happy Honda Days sales event, which has already begun and will be in effect for Black Friday and throughout the holiday season, features purchase and lease offers on many of the manufacturer's popular vehicles. For instance, financing at 0.9 percent APR is available on such models as the 2014 Civic sedan, 2014 Accord sedan, 2014 CRV compact SUV, 2015 Odyssey minivan and 2015 Pilot SUV.
Mercedes-Benz is getting into the act with its Winter Event, with offers that will run through the holiday season. Buyers can take advantage of special pricing on a number of new models, plus up to $2,000 cash back on any 2015 C?Class Sedan, E-Class Sedan or M-Class SUV. Mercedes 36-month lease deals include a 2014 CLA250 Coupe at $329 per month with $3,623 due at signing.
Ram Trucks Black Friday and holiday specials include a lease on a 2014 Ram 1500 Express Crew Cab 4x4 at $245 per month for 27 months with $245 due at signing. There's also up to a $5,000 cash allowance on a 2014 Ram 2500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4x4 or a 2014 Ram 3500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4x4.
Volkswagen is running its Sign Then Drive Event through Black Friday and the end of November. Lease deals include a 2015 Jetta 2.0L S for 36 months at $219 per month with $0 down payment, $0 due at signing, $0 security deposit and $0 first month's payment.
