Acura will continue its tradition of bringing concept cars to Monterey Car Week with a new design study that previews the brand's future styling direction. This year's concept doesn't have a name — yet — and doesn't directly preview one specific production car. Instead, Acura says this concept will go on to inspire the designs of several future products, starting with the upcoming RDX Hybrid SUV.

Does that mean Acura will simply show us the SUV concept it revealed back in May? Maybe. But we think the automaker might have something new and more interesting up its sleeve. We can't discern much from the teaser image that accompanies today's announcement. But we'll know more when the wraps come off in Monterey, California, next week. Stay tuned.
