Acura Dealers Begin Taking Orders for 2017 Acura NSX


TORRANCE, California Acura dealers will begin taking orders for the 2017 Acura NSX hybrid coupe today and prospective buyers can configure their car online now.

The 2017 NSX is priced at $157,800, including a $1,800 destination charge.

A $9,000 carbon-fiber exterior sport package adds a carbon-fiber front spoiler, side sills, diffuser and a dark chrome exhaust finisher.

A $2,900 carbon-fiber interior sport package features a hand-wrapped carbon-fiber meter visor and steering wheel garnish, along with aluminum sport pedals and footrest.

A $2,800 technology package bundles an ELS Studio audio system, navigation system with voice recognition and HD Digital Traffic, and front-and-rear parking sensors.

Other options include a $6,000 carbon-fiber roof, $2,500 leather power sport seats and $9,900 carbon-ceramic brake rotors.

Exterior color choices are Curva Red, 130R White and Berlina Black. Pearl-metallic colors add $700 to the bottom line. They include Casino White Pearl, Source Silver Metallic and Nord Gray Metallic.

Interior color choices are Red, Orchid, Saddle and Ebony.

"Once prospective owners have configured their NSX online, they can request a one-on-one consultation with an authorized NSX retailer as the first step in the ordering process," American Honda Motor Co. said in a statement.

A new sweepstakes launched on Thursday gives one winner the chance to join a driving event for the NSX.

Those who share their NSX configuration on Twitter between February 25-29 with the hashtag #DriveAcuraNSXContest will be entered to win.

Key NSX competitors include the Audi R8 V10, McLaren 570GT and Porsche 911 Turbo.
