How Much Is the 2027 GMC Sierra? We Detail All of Them and What You Get

We detail the price for the GMC Sierra Pro, Elevation, AT4 and Denali trims

2027 GMC Sierra 1500 - AT4
  • What's new: The GMC Sierra gets a big redo for 2027, with new looks, new engines, and oodles of tech niceties.
  • Why it matters: It's one of the pricier trucks to get into — starting at $51,295 and going all the way to $87,895. So the question becomes: Is it really worth it?
  • Edmunds says: Read on to see what you get at each trim level and decide for yourself if the new Sierra is worth the extra spend of the equally-as-new Chevy Silverado.

The GMC Sierra is all-new for 2027, and we have a full deep dive into what's new with GMC's completely reworked full-size pickup right here. We also know how much every single version of the new Sierra is going to cost, from the base Pro model that starts at $51,295 (including destination) all the way up to the Denali Ultimate that will run you an eye-watering $87,895 at base.

Here's how much every new Sierra costs and what you get for all that money.

2027 GMC Sierra Pro: $51,295

First things first, the base model of the GMC Sierra isn't like the base model of a Silverado or a Ford F-150. There is no fleet-centric, super barebones work truck to speak of here. The base Sierra is $9,900 more than the WT (work truck) version of the all-new Chevy Silverado. It's actually even more expensive than the next rung up the Silverado ladder, the Z71.

For all the extra dough, you get a turbocharged four-cylinder engine as standard (350 horsepower, 455 lb-ft) and, like every other engine, a 10-speed automatic transmission as standard. The new 5.7-liter V8 (402 hp, 428 lb-ft) and the reworked 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six diesel (305 hp, 495 lb-ft) are both available as optional extras on the Pro as well.

The base car isn't skimping on screen. Every version of the new Sierra comes standard with a 16.3-inch infotainment display that sits nestled in the center of the dashboard and a 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster. Other tech goodies are more focused on safety. All new Sierras come with adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic braking, front and rear park assist, blind-spot warning with steering intervention, and intersection automatic emergency braking.

2027 GMC Sierra Elevation: $59,995

2027 GMC Sierra Elevation

For just under 10 grand more than the base model, the Elevation steps things up a bit. The engine options don't change from the Pro, but the exterior gets a slightly more premium look so you're able to tell them apart. The biggest addition here is that this is the lowest Sierra that you can get Super Cruise on, GM's hands-free, eyes-on highway driving assistant.

Inside the Elevation is where changes become more notable. The center screen is now mounted to two arms that can lift the screen up and reveal a secret cubby — perfect for hiding your favorite snacks from the kids. You also get two wireless charging pads in the Sierra from here on up; the center console gets movable cupholders for customizable storage; and the center armrest folds out into a mini table that allows you to either work or maybe eat said hidden snackies.

2027 GMC Sierra AT4: $73,495

Another five-digit jump from Elevation to AT4 brings you to the first off-road-ready Sierra for 2027. The 5.7-liter V8 is now the standard engine option, but buyers will have the option of going for the diesel, too. Also, instead of being an option, Super Cruise is now standard fare, as are heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system.

The off-road enhancements come in the form of 34-inch tires, off-road pages in the infotainment (that will likely display information like pitch, roll, and so on), and a 2-inch factory lift. Optional extras include the opportunity for a passenger display, underbody cameras, and a 34-gallon fuel tank for really long hauls.

2027 GMC Sierra AT4X: $85,495

2027 GMC Sierra

The AT4X takes the Sierra's core off-roader and makes it, well, hardcore. The standard engine is the diesel inline-six, but this is the lowest trim where buyers will get the option for the also brand-new 6.6-liter V8 (481 hp, 501 lb-ft). You also get 35-inch off-road tires, front and rear locking differentials, and jounce-control dampers from Canadian engineering company Multimatic. That's the same place that does the suspension on the Ford Mustang GTD and the Ferrari Purosangue, so it's safe to assume they know what they're doing.

Inside, the seats get extra bolstering, the Bose system gets uprated to 16 speakers, and the passenger screen is now standard, too.

Buyers interested in going even further afield can spring for the AEV (American Expedition Vehicles) Edition. Opting for this adds AEV-specific front and rear bumpers, underbody skid plates, recovery hooks, black side steps, and 18-inch beadlock-ready wheels. This package won't be available on AT4X models right at launch, however.

2027 GMC Sierra Denali: $76,795

2027 GMC Sierra Elevation

Think of the Denali as where the lineup splits. You can go one way with the AT4 for similar money, but the Denali is where things take a more luxurious turn. The 5.7-liter V8 is standard here, but you can opt for either the diesel or the bigger 6.6-liter V8. A pair of 14-way heated and cooled seats, a head-up display, a rearview mirror that doubles as a display for rear-mounted camera, a panoramic roof, the eight-speaker Bose system, the adjustable center console, the two wireless charging pads, and some "dynamic" ambient lighting are all standard fare here.

Options include the passenger display, 22-inch wheels, and a 34-gallon fuel tank are all optional goodies here.

2027 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate: $87,895

The Denali Ultimate makes nearly everything standard. The 6.6-liter V8, the passenger display, Super Cruise with trailering, the 16-speaker audio system, the bigger fuel tank, every single screen mentioned thus far, the heated and cooled seats, deployable side steps, the underbody cameras ... it's all here as standard.

The only thing you can change about the Denali Ultimate is what's under the hood as the diesel is an available option.

Every single GMC Sierra is more expensive than the one it replaces by anywhere from $1,000 to a little over $4,000. We'll find out if the new model with all its bells, whistles and new engines is worth the extra coin when we get behind the wheel later this year. Stay tuned for more.
