The Ford F-150 — America's best-selling truck — gets a few meaningful updates for 2027. There's a new base engine, hands-free BlueCruise towing tech and a spiffy Carhartt edition, plus some lower-priced versions of the Tremor and Raptor off-road trims. Base price: $40,585

When you factor in the mandatory $2,795 destination charge, the base price for a 2027 Ford F-150 comes in just above $40,000. This gets you an F-150 XL Regular Cab 4x2, which comes with a new standard engine. Gone is the old 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6; in its place Ford is offering a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with identical power, towing and payload specs.

As before, Ford will offer a range of trim levels — things like XLT, Lariat, Platinum, etc. When we have official pricing for those models, we'll update this story.

F-150 Carhartt: $65,455

The Carhartt is based on the F-150 XLT SuperCrew and is a $4,195 option. In addition to unique badging, you get some cool interior trim and seat fabric that's meant to look like the super-durable material Carhartt uses in its work jackets and pants.

Tremor and Raptor get price cuts

For 2027, Ford is lowering the cost of entry for its off-road F-150 models. The Tremor sees a $5,300 reduction to $65,195. The Raptor is $4,000 cheaper than before, starting at $80,595.

Of course, you do lose some goodies if you choose one of these lower-spec models. On the Tremor, the new low-cost version has manual seats and does without the truck's power-sliding rear window, Bang & Olufsen sound system, automatic climate control and running boards. For the Raptor, you lose the 2-kW onboard charger (power drops to 400 watts), and you don't get a head-up display, power passenger seat or power steering column. But if your main focus is off-roading rather than creature comforts, this isn't necessarily a bad thing.
