2017 Volvo S90 Configurator Goes Live Ahead of Showroom Debut

ROCKLEIGH, New Jersey — The 2017 Volvo S90 will arrive at Volvo dealerships later this year, but car shoppers can begin tinkering now with how they will equip their version of the flagship sedan.

The 2017 S90 vehicle configurator provides pertinent details about the highly anticipated rival to the Audi A8, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

"Pricing is not yet available," Volvo said.

Available models will include the 250-horsepower Volvo S90 T5 FWD or front-wheel-drive model in Momentum and Inscription trims, along with the 316-hp T6 AWD or all-wheel-drive model.

A muted exterior color palette features nine choices, including Mussel Blue Metallic, Luminous Sand Metallic and Crystal White Pearl Metallic.

Four wheel choices include optional 21-inch bright alloy wheels.

There are five option packages.

They include a Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system and a climate package for cold-weather buyers. That package includes heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel and windshield.

A Vision package includes a blind-spot monitoring system and Visual Park Assist.

A Convenience package bundles Homelink, Park Assist Pilot, a 12-volt power outlet in the trunk and a power trunk lid.

A Momentum Plus package adds such items as adaptive LED headlights and Thor's hammer daytime running lights.

Edmunds says: Pricing on the S90 is expected to be announced shortly. Then it will be time to get serious about putting in your order for the new Volvo flagship sedan.
