On sale now at Toyota dealerships, the 2017 Sienna received four stars in the front crash test, five stars in the side crash test and four stars in the rollover crash test.
The rating applies to front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions of the 2017 Sienna.
Standard safety equipment on the 2017 Sienna includes vehicle stability control, traction control, antilock brakes, brake assist, smart-stop technology, a rearview camera and eight airbags.
Optional safety equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, a pre-collision system and rear cross-traffic alert.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not rated the 2017 Sienna.
Edmunds says: Car shoppers keeping score should note that the 2017 Kia Sedona also earned the highest five-star safety rating from NHTSA. The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, Honda Odyssey and Nissan Quest have not been rated.
