2017 Toyota Corolla iM Arrives at Dealerships in Late August With $19,615 Price Tag

TORRANCE, California — The 2017 Toyota Corolla iM compact hatchback, the successor to the outgoing Scion iM, is bound for Toyota dealerships in late August.

Pricing starts at $19,615 for the 2017 Corolla iM with the standard six-speed manual transmission. Toyota said the price reflects an increase of $290 over the base Scion iM.

The top-of-the-line 2017 Corolla iM with a continuously variable automatic transmission  starts at $20,355, also an increase of $290 over the comparable 2016 Scion iM.

Pricing includes an $865 destination charge.

Key competitors to the Corolla iM include the Ford Focus, Mazda 3 and Volkswagen Golf.

Safety upgrades are the key focus of the Corolla iM, which comes with standard Toyota Safety Sense C. The package includes lane departure warning, automatic high beams and a pre-collision system.

The Corolla iM is equipped with a 137-horsepower 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine.

Edmunds says: This inexpensive compact hatch will be a major draw for entry-level buyers.
