2017 Subaru WRX and WRX STI Bound for Dealerships This Summer

CHERRY HILL, New Jersey — The 2017 Subaru WRX and WRX STI sedans will arrive at Subaru dealerships this summer, featuring minor upgrades.

The base 2017 Subaru WRX with a six-speed manual transmission is priced at $27,515, including an $820 destination charge, Subaru of America announced. The price reflects a $100 increase over the previous model.

The top-of-the-line 2017 WRX Limited with a continuously variable transmission starts at $33,015, including shipping. Pricing for the WRX Limited remains the same as the 2016 model.

The base 2017 WRX STI starts at $36,015, including shipping, reflecting a $525 price increase over the previous model.

The top-of-the-line WRX STI Limited with a low-profile trunk spoiler is priced at $40,815, including shipping.

All models receive a new fabric headliner, while the 2017 WRX STI gets automatic headlights on all trim levels.

Reverse auto braking is now included on 2017 WRX Limited models equipped with the EyeSight system, which helps to prevent front crashes.

A 7-inch infotainment display and premium sound system is priced at $1,600.

An options package that bundles a navigation system, premium audio system, keyless access, blind-spot detection and rear cross-traffic alert costs $2,600.

The addition of EyeSight to the package increases the price to $3,795.

Key competitors to the Subaru WRX include the Audi S4, Ford Focus ST and Volkswagen Golf GTI.

Edmunds says: The slight price increase on the base 2017 WRX should not deter you if you're in the market for a sport sedan.
