2017 Nissan Pathfinder Hits Showrooms This Week With $30,890 Price Tag

NASHVILLE, Tennessee — The refreshed 2017 Nissan Pathfinder midsize SUV will go on sale at Nissan dealerships this week, starting at $30,890.

The price includes a $900 destination charge and reflects a $160 increase over the base 2016 Pathfinder.

The top-of-the-line 2017 Pathfinder Platinum four-wheel-drive model is priced at $44,460, including destination fees.

A trailer-tow package adds $400 to the bottom line, while a family-entertainment package is priced at $1,700.

Changes to the Pathfinder include a new 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers 284 horsepower, up from 260 hp in the 2016 model.

Maximum towing capacity has increased from 5,000 pounds in 2016 to 6,000 pounds.

The 2017 Pathfinder features a restyled hood, new grille, bumpers, and new 18-inch and 20-inch wheel designs.

In the cabin, a redesigned center console gets a standard 8-inch touchscreen monitor.

Key Pathfinder competitors include the Chevrolet Traverse, Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander.

Edmunds says: Major changes and a slight price increase on the base 2017 Pathfinder should be a winning combination for many buyers in this hot segment.
