2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Bound for Showrooms in Late 2016

MAHWAH, New Jersey — The 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport luxury SUV will arrive at Land Rover dealerships in late 2016, with a $66,645 price tag.

The pricing includes a $995 destination charge and reflects a $700 increase over the base 2016 Range Rover Sport.

A range of enhancements to the 2017 Range Rover Sport include new driver assistance technologies, including Advanced Tow Assist, which helps with the task of reversing while towing a trailer.

Other new technologies include Intelligent Speed Limiter, which reads speed limit signs and automatically adjusts the vehicle's speed.

A new Driver Condition Monitor warns the driver if signs of fatigue are detected.

Low Traction Launch helps the driver pull away from a standstill on low-grip surfaces such as mud, wet grass or ice.

In the cabin, a larger touchscreen features a new 10.2-inch display.

Land Rover said buyers can pick from 19 new exterior colors, including pearlescent white and "sophisticated" grays.

Key competitors to the Range Rover Sport include the BMW X5, Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT and Porsche Cayenne.

Edmunds says: Tech-minded luxury buyers will appreciate the new features designed to make their lives easier behind the wheel of the 2017 Range Rover Sport SUV.
