2017 Kia Cadenza Revealed Ahead of 2016 Debut

SEOUL, South Korea — The redesigned 2017 Kia Cadenza premium sedan was revealed on Tuesday ahead of its debut in Kia showrooms next year.

Kia said the Cadenza gets "distinctive, European-inspired looks with a sleek, elongated silhouette."

The Korean sedan will also feature "high levels of interior quality," according to the company.

The redesign is calculated to give the Cadenza a "purposeful new design," Kia said, as the sedan competes against the 2017 Buick LaCrosse, Chevrolet Impala and Nissan Maxima.

U.S. launch timing, technical specifications and pricing were not announced.

The Cadenza was previewed in design sketches earlier this month.

The carryover 2016 Cadenza is on sale now, starting at $33,815, including an $825 destination charge. A navigation system is now standard on all trim levels.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers making long-range plans can decide whether the redesigned Kia Cadenza should be on their lists.
